The Kalishek siblings were four ordinary kids from Michigan who grew into extraordinary aviation pioneers. Ladya “Lydia” Kalishek built and flew her own airplanes, trained countless pilots, and became one of the first women to manage busy airports. Her sister Sarah “Babe” Kalishek was a world-famous wing walker and stunt pilot who performed for crowds of thousands and even for the emperor of Japan. Their brother Clifford Kalishek went from farm boy to fearless motorcycle racer, parachute jumper, and wing-walking partner in one of the most dangerous brother-sister acts in the air. The youngest, Isabella “Babe” Kalishek, followed them into the sky as a teen, becoming a beloved daredevil wing walker and parachutist known for hanging from the plane by her toes and smiling all the way down.
